Creating a Personalized Brand on Social Media: Strategies That Make a Difference

Rachel Schueren • July 3, 2023

In today's digital world, social media has become an influential tool for businesses to establish a strong brand presence and connect with their audience. However, with countless brands vying for attention, it's essential to personalize your brand and stand out from the crowd with your marketing

By implementing these three proven strategies, you can create an authentic and engaging experience for your audience, leaving a lasting impression on your followers.

1. Showcase the Human Side of Your Brand with Social Media

One effective way to personalize your brand is by sharing behind-the-scenes glimpses of your team, office, or production process. This approach helps humanize your brand and creates a sense of authenticity that resonates with your audience. By showcasing your team through videos, personalized quotes, interviews, and blogs, you give your followers a chance to know the people behind the brand.

At BlinkJar, we share behind-the-scenes photos and videos of our team at work. Whether through a quick Tik Tok video or a lifestyle image on Instagram, showing your group "in action" is a great way to connect with your audience. This approach helps your audience understand and appreciate the effort that goes into your brand and products.

Another great way to showcase the human side of your brand is through a community. For instance, Olukai, a premium ocean lifestyle brand based in Hawaii, personalizes its brand by featuring the culture and people of Hawaii in its campaigns. Through powerful video storytelling, they capture Hawaii's beauty while highlighting the daily challenges Hawaiian lifeguards face. Such content creates an emotional connection with the audience, making them more likely to support the brand.

2. Engage with Your Social Media Audience on a Personal Level

Engaging with your audience is crucial for building a loyal and engaged community. Take the time to respond to comments, messages, and mentions on social media, showing genuine interest in your followers. When you respond to comments, don't settle for generic replies. Instead, address your followers by name and respond in a personalized manner. This approach makes them feel valued and fosters a sense of community.

It's essential to respond personally on social media, acknowledging the person and showing empathy. Using their name and providing a personalized response demonstrates that they are speaking to a human and not just delivering an automated answer. This personalized level of engagement deepens the connection between your brand and your audience.

3. Infuse Your Brand's Personality into Your Social Media Content

Consistency is vital when it comes to personalizing your brand on social media. Just as a visually appealing aesthetic creates recognition, a solid social media voice makes your content easily identifiable. When people see your social media posts, they should immediately recognize them as yours.

To achieve this, infuse your brand's personality into your social media content. Whether through humor, creativity, thoughtfulness, or any other defining characteristic, let your brand's voice shine through consistently. While the tone may vary slightly depending on the context, the overall language and voice should remain consistent at their core. This approach creates a memorable and relatable experience for your audience.

By implementing these three strategies—showcasing the human side of your brand, engaging with your audience on a personal level, and infusing your brand's personality into your content—you can effectively personalize your brand on social media. As a result, you'll leave a lasting impression on your followers, foster a strong brand community, and stand out from the competition.

Why Your New Website Isn’t Showing Up in Google Yet
By Rikki Broussard October 22, 2025
Hey everyone, it’s Rikki here! I like to write blogs based on real questions from our clients. Recently, we launched two brand-new websites on fresh domains. Everything about the design, development, and launch went smoothly, but once the sites were live, both clients asked the same question: “Why can’t I find my site on Google yet? Launching a new website is exciting. After weeks (sometimes months) of planning and building, the site is finally live. Naturally, the next step is to open Google, type in one of your main keywords, and expect to see your business right at the top. But here’s the reality: search engines don’t work like flipping a light switch. It’s completely normal (although frustrating) for brand-new websites to take time before appearing in Google search results . How Google Finds and Ranks Websites When your new site goes live, Google has to: Crawl – Send its “bots” to scan and read the site. Index – Store those pages in Google’s database. Rank – Decide where your site belongs in the search results compared to competitors. Submitting a sitemap and setting up Google Search Console helps Google know your site exists. But discovery doesn’t mean instant visibility; it just means the process has started.
