Why Advertising Needs A Consistent Spokesperson

A consistent Spokesperson CAN be a key ingredient in your advertising message.  However, avoid using an employee at all cost.  If an employee must be used, it should be the owner.  The unfortunate reality is that employees come and go in all industries.  If you have built up 3 years of forward equity in having your sales manager as your consistent spokesperson, what happens when things change and he is the consistent spokesperson for the dealer down the street?  When (not if) this happens, all of your forward equity built in your company is now working for your competitor.
